Explore Your Voice For Authentic Expression

Explore Your Voice

Would you like to explore your voice? Finding your voice, discovering your strengths, and expressing yourself fully is something you can do anytime.

But what does discovering your voice mean?

Recently, I had the privilege of working with a hypnotherapy client who underwent a remarkable transformation in finding her voice. Witnessing this journey was truly profound.

Before our sessions, layers of life experiences had overshadowed her voice, dampening her true essence.

This scenario is all too common. Throughout life, we encounter experiences, or individuals who give us messages that suppress our voices.

Stop Suppressing Your Authentic Voice

These messages, coupled with intense emotions, reinforce the notion that expressing yourself isn’t safe or acceptable.

So discovering your voice becomes a process of reclaiming your identity so you can feel safe inside of yourself.

That can be tricky to do when you may not even know who you’re because you’ve molded yourself to everyone else’s expectations of who they think you’re.

What is voice exploration?

What is Voice Exploration?

To begin with, if you tend to be quiet and reserved, you may want to increase your volume just a bit and get used to being a little louder when you speak.

Or, if you’re the kind of person who projects yourself vocally to make sure your needs are met and that you’re heard, you may want to dial it back a bit and see how that feels.

Vocal toning is another good exercise when you explore your voice. It relaxes your mind and body, and it helps you project your voice without any communication expectations.

Writing can be a safe way to explore your voice as well.

Write To Tap Into Your Authentic Voice

If you’re a hypnotherapist, try being less robotic or “hypnotic”, and use your authentic voice in your sessions with genuine emotion for real connection with your clients.

If you’re a VO, try being a tad less proper (not unprofessional!) when you interact with your clients or agents.

Why is finding your voice so important?

Finding your voice is critical to feeling like you’re in alignment with who you really are. It’s that part of you that’s likely been buried beneath a prescriptive protocol of expectation.

It feels liberating to let all of that stuff go!

You can then use your voice to connect with your soul, be truthful in your interactions, develop yourself, and experience a “new you” and a better life.

Your voice matters.
